caleb's two!

my birthday boy... two years have gone by so quickly! so much has happened in this last year... you learned to walk, actually started to like eating food, started to talk, sleep on your own, developed friendships... what a lovely little man you are. in your second year you also learned all about your incredible sense of humour & how to make people laugh. you've also learned how to stall bedtime until the latest possible second (we've just caught onto this one), and in the last nine months you have started your love of books!! it's usually four books every night... goodnight to baby, disney babies go to the park, alphabet book of me and baby signs. then again, that could just tie in to the previous comment;) love ya, my boy! -mama Posted by Picasa

ginger

here's a pic from mikehiela's gingerbread party she had today after school. or, perhaps a better word would be sugar party... they had so much fun and were SO wound up, but they all had great fun. mikehiela and her friend winter were making 'pregnant' gingers... layer of icing on the belly, then candies. another layer of icing, more candies, ice, candy, repeat... you get the picture! i was very happy to report that by the time m went to eat it, it had gone rock hard on her & she couldn't eat it... oh well, score one for me! they burned off some energy by using the shoestring licorice to jump rope with in the living room (yes, folks, apparently this can be done), and playing the 'human knot'. the rest of the time they just ran circles around the house... but it was all much fun!

@ the patch

we had an awesome time at the pumpkin patch today. it was really busy, and they've changed it a lot from last year... added a lot more stuff. we went by ourselves, it was a great family outing, but i think it's more thoroughly enjoyed with friends (makes taking pictures easier, too...) if you've never been a pumpkin patch, try it out! lots o' fun for the family.

howdy

Caleb is so much fun right now, he's such a goofy kid and just loves to play, and really loves to make you laugh. Today Gord snapped some pics of Caleb on his new horse. Mikehiela joined him and they were having a riot riding the broom around the living room. It seems they have the right idea... it looks so much more fun than sweeping with it.
Poor little guy was sick tonight & threw up after having been alseep for a few hours already. A quick change and a wash, he's back to sleep. Doesn't seem sick or feverish, must've just been something he ate tonight. Gords' cooking... :)

the good life

Firstly, I would just like to be able to test this out... I've never done something like this before. It would be pretty cool to be able to post pictures for my friends and family to see... from everyone between BC and Germany... I'll try!

~happy birthday to you~

here ares some pics from m's birthday party today. she really wanted to have her party at the local gym ever since she attended a party there earlier this year. they all had a blast, and thankfully, ran off all of that sugar;)
i can't believe she's eight. i still remember so much about my pregnancy with her that makes it seem just like yesterday. i even remember how i used to lay down on the couch and put a remote control over my bulging belly and watch it bob up and down as she happily kicked away. i remember watching her sleep for what must have been hours, i remember crying tears of happiness as i cuddled her while she slept, so tiny and innocent and perfectly peaceful in my arms. why was i never told how fast my life would fly by after i had children? the days have melted one into another making it seem such a blur. i guess i wasn't told because it wouldn't ever have made a difference... i would have done it all the same. i love you, my sweet girl, thanks for all that you are, the difference you have made in my life and the very reason that i went on. i love you bigger than the sky.
